Stripes| Linen| Leopard

Happy Monday everyone,  each day is a new  day to right our wrongs and make new memories. I was bummed out this weekend due to my sprained ankle. I guess I was going a little too hard when doing my knee tuck jumps. I came down right on the medicine ball that shouldn't have been next to me. Ouch!!!!

Despite my injury, I was determined to do some blogging this weekend. Today's look hones in on being able to mix prints to create a cohesive look. For me leopard is always a staple in my wardrobe. Leopard has a way of making a look classic, edgy,  and chic  at the same time. With leopard we have know when enough is enough. I love to see all black paired with a leopard clutch and shoe. Or a leopard print scarf with  all white. I bought my linen blazer and shorts earlier this summer. My first thought  was to pair it with a pop of color. Maybe a pink or orange . But, I decided that since were transitioning to fall to add leopard. Leopard is timeless and will remain relevant no matter the season. This look is budget friendly with the blazer and shorts totaling $40! Y'all know I will find a great price point to fit anyone's budget.LOL  Have a great week and don't forget to follow me on Instagram:@Chay_is_Chic.

Floral Abstract Jacket | Dark Denim | Pink Sandal

Hello Loves, Im super excited about today's look. My floral abstract printed dress/jacket is definetly the focal point of the look. I was so inspired when I saw this jacket also worn by fellow blogger @Style&Poise. This jacket/dress is so transitional and can be worn several diffent ways. I chose to keep it simple by pairing it with a dark denim jean and solid tank.  To  add a slight edge to the look I added a color heel and mirrored sunglasses. When you're a print lover like myself you have to be careful not to over do your look with accesories. Remember, your style should look easy and effortless.

My awesome  pictures were captured by photographer Isaiah Johnson (@acollectedgentlemen). We stumbled across a graffiti wall that complemented my look perfectly. Be on the lookout for more great photos in the future.

Printed Top| Pencil Top| Caged Sandal

Happy Sunday loves, I had the opportunity to work with the immensely talented Isaiah Johnson this weekend. He's so dope. He's like the little brother I've never had.

I loved the geometric aspects of this top. This goes to show you have endless possibilities when wearing a printed t-shirt. I chose to dress it up by pairing it with a pencil skirt and a caged sandal.  My necklace was one of my super deals I found at Jcrew. Be on the the look out for more simple yet chic looks on the blog.

Crew Love

Hey Everyone, I hope you all have had a awesome week. Im winding down from a busy work week of course.  I'm getting together with two of my longtime friends. We decided to go for an early dinner. I didn't want to be too casual or too dressy. I wanted to wear something cute and comfy.

I decided to go through my cute  summer shorts that  I haven't worn. I bought this adorable matching set from Jcrew last year. Can you believe I've never worn it? Crazy right...This is what happens when you have too many clothes. I thought this look would be perfect for 80 degree weather.  I added a Jcrew necklace and Zara heel to finish the look.  Jcrew is one of my favorite stores. I think I paid about $90 for the shirt and shorts together. I think it's well worth it.  This colorful  look can be worn several ways to give you more bang for your buck.

Simple Saturday

I'm Good morning loves! I've still been celebrating my birthday. Lol...I'm too old for this. You'd think I turned 21. But, seriously I went to a simple dinner with my love.

We all have those days where we just want to be simple and comfortable.

I took my striped crop top and paired it with my all time comfort staple peice. A pair of joggers. The ones I'm wear are dressier than the ones I usually buy.

Adding a pop of color can definitely bring life to your look. What better color to use than orange! The entire look was under $50. I love when fashion isn't forced. Simple looks usually win in my opinion.

Tribal Necklace| Denim Dress

Hey Guys, So my birthday was yesterday. I had a wonderful time visiting with family and friends. I really believe "You're  as old as you feel". And I feel awesome! Lol

Today's look is a continuation of cheap chic looks. As you guys know I'm a bonafide shopaholic. I will stalk a website until an item's  price is slashed  tremendously. I think it's smart for the 21st century woman to be budget conscious. We need to invest more in our children, church, and retirement. Honestly I hate clothes that "look" cheap. As you know getting a steal doesn't make an item cheap. It's the fabric/ material that does.

The denim tunic/dress I purchased at Urban Outfitters for $5! It was originally $79. It's such a transitional peice. You could pair with white jeans or add a button down for a different look.  The tribal necklace  I'm wearing is from Forever21. It was only $5.48! So there it is a chic look for $10.

FYI: I have shorts underneath. It's sold as s dress, But is super short.

Tie Waist Midi| Leather Accesories

Hey Everyone, I'm super excited. My birthday is in 2 days and I'm on vacay for 8 days!  Even though I'm turning a year older, I thank god for allowing me to see another year.

I'm really loving today's post. I've had this dress in my closet for quite sometime. As usual it was on sale for an awesome price. For a mere $20, I was a happy girl. Again, accesories play a major role in making a ensemble not look "cheap". Leather accesories and a red lip was a no brainer.  To complement my look I added an old pair of silver aviator style sunnies.

Dress: BooHoo

Oversized Clutch: French Connection
