Can someone take my picture?

Hey Loves! Why is it so hard to get someone to take a picture?  I begged my son to take a  couple  pictures of me. He charged me $15 and then says he's tired. Now, I'm on to my boo who  looked at me like he saw a ghost when he was asked. All a girl wants is a couple of quick shots for the blog.

Today's look is denim on denim. This easy style can be accomplished by grabbing your favorite denim shirt and jeans. Try mixing chambray denim with a distressed or dark denim to create a perfect denim on denim look. You all know I'm a Gap lover. I purchased the shirt and jeans separately at The Gap last season. Most denim styles are timeless. So make sure you don't toss out your great jeans. As they have so much potential.

Fringe & Faux leather please!

Hey Loves! It's a new look  Monday. Today's look is for my style risk takers. The stylish girl that loves to have a little edge but in a subtle and chic way. I must confess that I'm so in love with this sweater. From the color combination to the fringed detail. It represents my style so accurately.  I found my sweater during an amazing sale at Zara.  Zara is one of those brands that always seems to come through for me. The faux leather shorts I'm wearing are also from Zara. This look is perfect for a date night, concert, dinner. See Ensemble Details below...

*Chic girl tip: Ladies  bring your cute leather and suede shorts into the fall and winter season. Add a cute pair of tights and over the knee boot to complete your look. *

Bleeding Blue

Hey Everyone! So tonight were having a much needed girl's night dinner. It's been a couple of months since all of the girls have gotten together. My style for tonight was simple and chic as usual. When styling this look, I thought  of the key pieces that would create an effortless look. A good jean and great shoe are  always effortless in my opinion. I buy most of my jeans from The Gap. In my opinion they have one of the best fits for my body type.  Other brands that I love include JBrand, Hudson, Paige and Seven For all Mankind. Honestly, I have a pretty bad jean addiction. So, I tend to splurge on my jeans. But, check out budget friendly stores like H&M and  Zara as well. To create a dressier look, I added a blazer coat and strappy pump. Lastly, buffalo plaid is one of my go to items this season. When I seen it was the same blue as my Indianapolis Colts. I had to have it. Let's go Colts! I'm bleeding blue! LOL
Hair Tip: I haven't had a relaxer in my hair in almost four years. My stylist rolled my hair on large purple and gray rollers. Once dry, she used the paddle brush to wrap my hair. She wrapped saran wrap around my hair and placed me under the dryer briefly. I love it! Big hair don't care.

Fall Color Fave

Happy Hump day loves! Today, I'm displaying one of my fall color faves. Olive  green is one of my favorite colors for many reasons. Olive green is really season-less if you ask me. It can work as a neutral or can be paired with patterns such as stripes or with colorful prints. What I love the most about this dress is that it is so comfy. I'm not sure about you. But, comfy pieces are my best friend. I scored this dress for under $20! This dress is perfect for date night, church, Work function and many more. I added one of my "oldie but goody" Tribal clutches and Zara sandals to complete the look. Voila! Another chic look for less.

Geometric Style

Happy Monday Chic girls!  Many of you may know that I'm a print lover to the fullest.  As soon as I seen this dress/tunic. I had to have it!  I admire those that only wear solids and minimalist looks. For my wardrobe, I love to add  spice often. I bought this geometric piece as a dress. But,  opted to wear it as a shirt. I wanted to give the look a fall feel by adding  pants. With pieces like this there are many options. Add a pair of knee-high boots and long cardigan to create a bohemian chic vibe. Y'all know "Bohemian Chic" is one of my favorite styles. Lol  So check  your closet for cute tunics/dresses that you could layered up and wear many different ways. Have a fantastic week!
