Chay's Style

Happy Monday loves! Two weeks is way too long to go without blogging. I've missed you guys. With today's look I tried to stay true to my personal style. I fell in love with the  faux leather detail on my  colorblock sweatshirt. I decided to stick to the leather theme by adding faux leather pants.  There's nothing more edgy than leather pieces. While leather is very edgy, there's something simplistic about it at the same time. I love when fashion isn't forced. So, I didn't opt for a patterned bottom or shoe. If you're not a fan of leather pants. Try adding a cute boyfriend  Jean or pencil skirt to complete the look.

Sweater Wrap| Denim| Knee Boot

Happy Thursday y'all! It's been a beautiful day in my neighborhood. Being from the Midwest, I get excited when the temperature is over 30 degrees.Today,  I'm wearing a fall and winter must have . My oversized sweater wrap is definitely a necessity  for the frigid winter months. You guys aren't going to believe how much I paid for this adorable sweater. It was mere $5! I promise I can't make this up. Once again, I'm  in a "teeny bopper" store for my pre-teen. I didn't go in the store with the intent of buying anything for myself. When I went to the sales rack and glanced at the price. I thought it was a mistake. I guess teens don't like oversized sweaters. Oh well, more for me! I'm wearing denim on denim to complete my look. Denim is the perfect layering piece for this time of year. Let's not forget my knee high boots that I adore so much.

Do what you love

Happy New Year loves!  It's been a busy holiday season for me. I'm kind of relieved that it's over. This year my motto is " Do what you love". So many people ask me why I blog. It's probably the Leo in me that gives a side eye at times. I'm quick to say why do you buy Starbucks or why do you gamble. Fashion is my vice. If I'm not hurting anyone, or breaking the bank to do what I do. Then,  it really shouldn't matter. Why justify your actions to those that aren't supporting or contributing to your success. *wink*

Style: This time of year is sale heaven for us chic girls. It seems like every store I love is having a sale right now. Burgundy, has been on my "Haute" radar for a while now.  I went in forever 21 to buy a turtleneck. Needless to say I found this adorable waterfall coat for 50% off. Per usual I found  pieces in my closet to accentuate my new coat perfectly. I wanted a sophisticated look. So, I thought of my nude leather skirt would for the perfect addition to my look. This ensemble is perfect for church, social gathering, or meeting.
Chic girl tip: If you're planning on wearing this look to work or church. Add a pair of tights or panty hose. I have big legs and they can be a bit of a distraction. Lol
