Cool Weather Style

Happy first day of October everyone! It's official, the cool down is coming. It will be in the 60's for most of the week in Indy. So, I'll be grabbing some of my favorite cool weather  pieces. Ponchos, shawls, and  Kimono sweaters are at the top of my list. My main goal when dressing for cooler temperatures is to be stylish and warm at the same time. I know I'm not the only one that hates to be cold! I'm a cardigan in my car at all times kind of girl. Lol
I hope you all have a blessed week. Thank-you so much for stopping by to check out my blog. Please feel free to comment below. Also, followed me on Instagram (@Chay_is_Chic) to see content that may not be posted on my blog page.

Menswear Chic

Happy Monday loves! It's been another chill off day for me. Today's look is menswear inspired. I found my super cute polka dot  shirt, while shopping for my son in the men's section.  It's amazing how menswear  can work cohesively in a woman's wardrobe.  Although, a black wool hat is universal for a man or woman's wardrobe. I thought it would perfect to complete my "Menswear Chic" look.

Monday Blues

Happy Monday to all! I'm sorry guys,  I'm not very pretentious. I hate Monday's in  more ways than one. It seems like I blink and my weekend is over. Don't get me wrong, I'm very blessed to have a job. But, having a stress free Monday is obsolete in my career. Since, I'm feeling a little" Blue". I decided to blog my blue plaid and leopard look from the weekend. It's super casual and fun at the same time. I mix leopard with just about anything! Try with stripes, polka dots, and many more.

Bohemian Chic

Happy Friday Everyone, I hope everyone enjoyed the short work week. Whenever,  I think of a "Bohemian Chic" look. I think of long dresses, feathers, fringe, and  unrefined hair. When I seen this dress. The  fall hues displayed in this dress really caught my attention. When styling this look, my first thought was to add a fringed bootie. I thought the fringed bootie would be  predictable.  So, I decided to wear a leather bootie instead. But, since my love for fringe is real. I decided to add a fringed  bag to finished off the look. My look was under $100.  My hair is a  simple braid out. I've worn natural hair for 4 years now. Although it can be challenging. I love my natural texture!

Easy Breezy

Happy Saturday everyone! I'm claiming that I will have a awesome weekend in advance. I'm ready to turn up as my sister is celebrating her 40th birthday this weekend. Time sure flies!
Today's look is easy breezy in my opinion. I feel like every look doesn't have to be doing the most to be fashionable. So this look is dedicated to my fashionista's  that aren't risk takers. I started with a basic t-shirt dress with a side slit. I  opted for bronze and silver Accessories with a pop of color for the shoe. As you get to know me you'll find out that I'm a printed clutch lover. I literally can never have enough clutches in my wardrobe.  I'm might have a little problem. Lol  But, seriously my point with this look is to show that you can easily dress up a look just by adding accessories. "It's easy breezy ladies!"

Denim + Denim

Hello everyone, I'm hoping for a speedy work week.  I have a three day weekend and several celebrations to attend. I hope you all are enjoying the looks on  my blog thus far. As many of you may know I'm  novice at blogging. I'm hoping with hard work and dedication I  will achieve my blogging goals.  I  realized early on that social media can be discouraging at times. I have to remind myself often that the number of followers I have doesn't define my blogs  worth. But, kudos to those who have manage to obtained thousands of followers.   My main  focus is to remain true to what I love and inspire the everyday woman at the same time.

I call this my denim on denim ensemble. I have so many women tell me they get so frustrated when they go shopping. I'm the total opposite. Shopping is very therapeutic for me. Once again I'm in the local Target shopping and  I found this super cute denim ensemble. I swear I use the word "transitional" in every blog post.  But, transitional pieces are a must in my wardrobe. You can wear this many ways by adding a long cardigan or button down. Or even wearing the pieces separately. I loved the fabric and the price point was great too. Again, we want to look Chic not Cheap. My printed added clutch  a subtle  statement to the look. My entire ensemble was under $50. As my Aunt Val would say " What goes up must come down" prices always drop. I bought my clutch and shoes on Zara when they had one of their bomb sale. Stalk those websites ladies! I promise you will find some awesome deals.
